Stop yer bitchin' and deal with the voting wait!

From Campbell Brown's commentary, "Wait is small price to pay for voting":

"So what if you have to wait a few hours? I was in Baghdad for the first Iraqi elections. Remember that? Bombs were going off, and all those people were showing up to get that purple ink stain on their finger. We can all certainly suck it up for a couple of hours if we have to." Can I get an AMEN, people?

Brown's commentary merely echoes what I've been saying and thinking for years - that in certain other countries, people risk being killed, raped, tortured or imprisoned when they venture out to vote, and in many cases, if they do manage to make it through the gunfire, intimidation from corrupt election workers, etc. to get to the ballot box, their vote ends up counting for naught because of corrupt election practices such as ballot box stuffing and voter fraud.

We've got it GREAT in this country compared to them.

So, don't you bitch about the wait being too long at the polls. There but for the grace of God were you born in this country instead of somewhere else, and you could be one of these poor shmucks running through a hail of flying bullets to get to the ballot box.
