Ronald Reagan

Today is the 25th anniversary of Ronald W. Reagan's inauguration as the 40th President of the United States, so in honor of him and the principles and ideals he loved and so ably and admirably communicated and defended, I'm posting this website.

Check out this one and this one as well.

Yeah, I know all my libby buds are sitting there gagging but you already know how much I love this man and I want to show some 'spect to his memory. You know I wouldn't bitch if you had a blog and posted stuff for your own heroes I disagree with, so just breathe and let the feeling pass. :-)

It rubs the lotion on its skin ...

OK people, get ready for one HILARIOUS song and video ... "Lotion" by a UK band called The Greenskeepers, done in honor of Buffalo Bill of Silence of the Lambs. The video consists of a montage of clips from the movie, skillfully edited to make it look like the characters in the movie are jamming to the song. The song itself was featured on a recent episode of Grey's Anatomy and got such an enthusiastic viewer response that it will be featured on a CD compilation of songs from the show. Be forewarned that if you are playing this video while at work, you'll have to pretty much kiss your productivity goodbye for at least the next few minutes. The song is pretty damn catchy, so you and your co-workers will be singing along with it - and playing the video over and over again in between laughing fits.

Now sit back and watch the video ... or else it gets the hose again ... you don't want the hose again, do you?!?!?!!!!

A cheeri-o and thank you to The Greenskeepers for making this video. You guys are feckin' brilliant!! :-)

MLK Day

In honor of MLK Day I am providing a link to two documents that rank among the most historic and inspirational documents of our country, second only to the Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights and ranking right up there with Hamilton's Federalist Papers, Lincoln's Gettysburg Address, and Frederick Douglass's Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass, an American Slave:

The "I Have a Dream" Speech
"Letter from a Birmingham Jail"

Magical Personality Quiz

This is one of the most accurate quizzes I've seen in a long time. It takes a bit longer than most (about 10 minutes), but it's dead-on.

I was told that my mythical personality is the Chimera, which makes total sense because the chimera is a water/fire creature and I just so happen to be born on the cusp of Cancer (water) and Leo (fire) - barely made it to being a Leo by just a few hours. I have a mix of both Cancerian and Leonian traits. Profile below. Those who know me will agree with it and those who don't will get some essential insight! :-) And if you happen to take it yourself, do let me know which mythical creature YOU are.

Chimera
Water with Fire

Astrologically associated with Cancer and the Fourth House (home, surroundings, family)

Chimera types are motivated to achieve and maintain emotional closeness between themselves and those they are close to. They are among the most outgoing of all the types. They have a strong sense of community, harmony, and cooperation. They are devoted to their family, whether this is an actual family or a specially chosen group of like-minded individuals. They thrive in company and are rarely alone. They find personal fulfillment in supportive, nurturing, and caring roles, but they emphasize self-reliance for all. They are intensely protective of those they love and are both perceptive and intuitive regarding their needs. They can seem at times to be in a world of their own because of a capacity for reflection. They are very emotionally expressive, which can seem like "gushing" to other, more restrained types.
